Widgets & Stone was asked to work with the Chattanooga Chapter of AIA-TN to develop an identity for the annual convention and expo being held in the city. Widgets and AIA partners Thomas Palmer and Eric Meyers agreed to utilize a previous design concept that was proposed but never implemented.

The name "Boomtown" was selected as the the theme, and collateral was designed using shapes of neighborhoods throughout the city overlapping and layering to create a colorful effect.
Boomtown was described like this to the 300+ attendees:

"IN THE PAST QUARTER CENTURY, CHATTANOOGA HAS BECOME THE
TURNAROUND CITY OF THE SOUTHEAST.

Come to the AIA TN convention to see how Chattanooga has become a brand new place, with a history—where the best of our past and the best of our present work together for a great future.

A boomtown."
